carnival sunrise post dry dock - hows she looking?

we're booked on the sunrise for october 2026, which is way after her next dry dock. for those whove sailed on a ship right after a major refurb, what was your experience? were all the new areas and upgrades fully finished and operational, or was there still some work happening? im hoping all the new venues will be broken in but still feel fresh. any major changes on the sunrise we should be looking forward to, or just the usual carpet and paint?

we sailed the panorama right after her big dry dock and it was…a mix lol like the main new bar was open but they were literally still bolting stools to the floor on day two and the smell of fresh carpet glue was STRONG in some hallways. it was kinda cool to be the first to use stuff but also youd walk past a new lounge area and itd just be a giant pile of boxes and tools. so yeah id say be prepared for a few unfinished vibes even if the big stuff is done. for the sunrise specifically i heard theyre redoing the serenity deck area and adding one of those new seafood spots? but honestly im more excited about the rooms getting the soft goods refresh like new bedding and curtains bc that makes a bigger difference than youd think after a long day in the sun 😅 pro tip: pack some febreeze or a small scent diffuser if youre sensitive to that new construction smell it can really linger in the cabin air conditioning. and maybe temper expectations for any brand new menu items at the new restaurants sometimes the kitchen is still working out the kinks too. still fun tho!
