wow, that is brutal. two days on the ship and then a full cancel? makes you think about travel insurance specifics, like for "trip interruption" after you've already started. i wonder if royal just refunded or if they offered any future credit on top. we always book with a card that has some built-in protection, but ive never had to test it mid-trip. alaska weather is no joke though, id guess it was mechanical if they couldnt just delay.
