I’m interested in booking icon class next year, what have your experiences been?

It looks like Star of the Seas is an icon class. Another member wrote a review of their time on it, available at https://cruisehuddle.com/reviews/my-first-inaugural-cruise

yeah we were on icon earlier this year honestly its a lot like being in a fancy mall sometimes which is cool if you want that vibe but it got overwhelming for us after a few days everything is so big and you gotta book stuff the second you get on or its gone like the hideaway bar area which was fun but packed. we found the late night scene was better for meeting people though which is what we were after

We were on Icon for our honeymoon. The size is insane, in a good way, but the "fancy mall" comment is dead on. We loved the energy for meeting people. The late-night spots do get lively. Our tip is about the Hideaway bar area everyone mentions—go right when it opens, even if you have a reservation. We snagged a spot the first day and met a couple who became our... regular hangout buddies for the week. It's worth the early effort.

we were on icon for a week and it is massive like if you want to be around that many people nonstop its great but i will say even booking stuff day one some things still sell out instantly like the escape room or the fancy tasting menu thing we missed both which sucked but the pool parties and later stuff were way better for meeting other couples and having a good time honestly

I think you might be able to book the escape room pre-cruise to ensure you can do it. I did that for my last cruise and I've booked it for my cruise in November too. You might get it at a discount, too, depending on promotions.

For us, it was a mixed bag. The huge pools and late-night energy were perfect for finding fun people. But if you’re not on the app booking activities immediately, you’ll miss a lot. The shows book up in minutes.
