Messaging Limits Reduction

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been watching how messaging limits affect CruiseHuddle — and, selfishly, how much they affect my sanity.
A bunch of members asked us to increase the limits for free accounts, so we did.
And holy shit did we learn something.
The result was more spam, more carpet bombing, more complaints from the members who actually use CruiseHuddle the way it was intended, and roughly 10x more work for me cleaning up the mess.
So yes, we have limits for a reason.
I completely understand that not everyone can afford a subscription, and I try really hard to keep CruiseHuddle as affordable and accessible as possible. In fact, nearly 70% of members are currently comp’d, and we’re constantly creating ways for people to get access without paying — including Military and First Responder access, plus Missions that usually take just a few minutes to complete.
The goal has never been to lock people out.
The goal is to keep CruiseHuddle from turning into a dumpster fire full of carpet bombers, OnlyFans promoters, scammers, flakes, and people sending the same lazy message to 200 members at once.
Messaging limits help protect the people who are actually here to make real connections.
And if that doesn’t sit well with you, that’s okay too.
DM me.
Seriously. I’m always happy to talk about it, explain why we make certain decisions, or hear why you think we got something wrong.
CruiseHuddle is still being built with all of you, and sometimes that means trying something, realizing it was a terrible fucking idea, and fixing it.
This was one of those times.
