What’s the best way to meet other single people around my age on a cruise?

I’m 25M and pretty new to cruising. I’m planning to go on a cruise by myself and would like to meet other single people around my age, especially women who are also traveling solo, just to hang out, enjoy the ship, grab drinks/food, and do some activities together. For people who have cruised solo before, what’s the best way to meet others? Are there specific events, apps, group chats, or places on the ship where people around 25 tend to socialize? Any tips for someone doing their first solo cruise would be appreciated.

my first solo was on the getaways sister ship. theres usually a solo travelers meetup on the first night at a lounge — go to that. its hit or miss on age but youll find a crew. i met some cool people just hitting up the dance floor later at night or during karaoke. also, dont sleep on just chatting people up at the buffet or by the pool bar. everyone’s pretty relaxed.
As mentioned, there may be a single traveler's meetup, which is definitely a good idea. I tend to meet people at trivia and other events like it, such as Name That Tune. If your cruise has a pool area that's targeted at adults, perhaps the bar(s) that serve those pools.

Definitely go to the solo meetup, even if it skews older. I’d suggest grabbing a drink at the bar after it formally ends. The people who stick around are usually the ones looking to actually mingle. On Allure, the Solarium bar is a great spot during the day for more chill conversations. For nightlife, the comedy club lounge before a show is perfect. People are waiting and open to chatting. I find it easier to suggest grabbing a drink after the show if you hit it off. Have you looked into any ship-specific Facebook groups for your sailing? Sometimes people organize bar crawls or informal meetups before boarding.

for real though, hit the late night clubs after the dance floor empties out. that's where the vibes get way more social. people hang around and actually talk instead of just dancing. met my partner on our last cruise that way.
