We are sailing on the Apex in February for my wife’s 50th celebration and from what we can tell, looks like an amazing ship. Any pointers or must see’s let us know. Thanks for ahead for any tips before our trip.

Love the Edge Class ships, especially the 4 restaurant main dining concept. First tip, even though you’re in one of the other dinning rooms, your wait staff will usually be able to get food from the menus of one of the other main dining rooms. So if you don’t see something jumping out at you or have a favorite you want again, just ask. Was on board last February for the Superbowl and they had a nice watch party setup in the bow theater, along with lots of “tailgate” food. As a video poker player, Apex had the worst offerings i’ve ever seen on a cruise ship. Only 6 machines which were almost always occupied and really discouraged me from spending as much time as I normally would in the casino. There was a decent variety of slots, however. Older crowd on board, martini bar was defiantly the late night hot spot. Almost no one in the club at night. Finally, if you haven’t been before, Port Canaveral can be a bit tricky since there’s no close airports. Most fly in through Orlando. Personally I like to fly in 2 nights early. Spend a day at the kennedy space center. Then on the back end either book a later flight out so I’m not worrying about travel times or better yet, stay in Orlando for a night or more.

we loved the rooftop garden grill. made a reservation for a late dinner there and it was perfect, less crowded, really romantic vibe. the infinity balconies...a bit polarizing. we kept ours locked as a balcony most of the time, but if you like that extra interior space, opening it up is cool. the martini bar shows are fun but get there early for a seat. have an awesome trip

apex was fun we just got off like a week ago. that magic carpet thing is wild at night feels like youre floating over the ocean with a drink. club after midnight gets real good too if youre into that scene. the solarium pool is adults only which we lived at, nobody splashing around being loud. also pro tip the spa pass is worth it if you need to like recover from a late one. have a blast

If you're looking for a quiet, adults-only spot outside the solarium, try the forward-facing lounge on deck 15 near the retreat sundeck. Almost nobody goes there. Bliss.
